“In business for six years, Henes specialises in designing and producing electric ride-on cars for children. Before joining the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair for the first time in 2013, our products were sold only in Korea. We like the Hong Kong fair because we have expanded our sales to more than 30 countries and regions via this platform. At this year’s fair, we are presenting the third-generation electric ride-on cars which attract a lot of attention from buyers because this new model combines Android system with platform structure of a car. We have received very good responses from a large number of buyers especially those from Asia, Europe and the Middle East. The timing of the fair is also very good as it is the first toy show in the calendar every year.” David Kim, Team Manager, Overseas Sales Team, Henes Co., Ltd., Korea

“WABA Fun designs, manufactures and markets educational toys, arts and crafts, and therapy toys that stimulate children’s imagination and creativity. Currently, the US is our largest market, but we think that Asia will be our largest market in the future in view of huge population in this region. The Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair serves an ideal platform for us to expand our business in the Asian market. It’s our fourth-time participation in this fair. It was a big success at last year’s fair as we received US$1 million worth of orders. At this year’s fair, we have met a lot of buyers especially those from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Korea. It’s a good show that attracts quality buyers, with a majority of them being decision-makers. Buyers’ responses have been very positive, so we expect very good business for 2014.” Dave Miesner, Director of International Business Development, WABA Fun, LLC, the US

“My company is an importer, distributor and manufacturer of toys and games supplying wholesalers and retailers all over India. I have visited the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair for many years. This year I am looking for arts and crafts, educational toys and games and toy premiums for our 'United Toys' brand, and I am also interested in bringing more new brands to the Indian market. So far, I have found three potential suppliers and I am waiting for their samples and quotations. I'll definitely visit the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair again because it is the right place where I can find many new products and know more about buying patterns and product trends. I am impressed by the range of products on offer at this fair.” Vivek Jhangiani, CEO, Pleasantime Products, India

“With offices in Singapore and Malaysia, I am a toy wholesaler and distributor focusing on high-end toys and educational toys. Actually, I started my toy business in 2007 after finding a very good supplier at the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair. The Hong Kong fair is an eye-opening event with so many exhibitors from all over the world. It is a window not just for the Chinese mainland products but also for international brands. I am working with suppliers from different places such as the Chinese mainland, Germany and Sweden. It saves me a lot of time and money because I can meet my existing suppliers at this fair. The Small-Order Zone is a good initiative that helps buyers to purchase products in smaller quantities, and I have made three enquiries there." Erich Vosshage, Managing Director, Kids Treasures Pte Ltd, Singapore

“We specialise in the design and production of furniture for babies and kids using top quality pine from New Zealand as the main material. Our product lines range from baby cots to changing units, writing desks and wardrobes. This is our first-time exhibition at the Hong Kong Baby Products Fair. We have generated a great deal of interest from international buyers who are deeply impressed by our design, quality and patterns. A number of potential customers from different parts of the world have approached us. Negotiations are underway with three serious buyers from the USA, Australia and UAE in particular and we are optimistic about concluding deals with them. The results of exhibition have been excellent and we are very satisfied. We like the fair very much. I am thinking of taking up even more space at next year’s exhibition to raise our profile.” Christine Wyn, Managing Director, New Zealand Pine Industry Co., Ltd., Vietnam

“With a business history of 30 years, New Image Group produces health and nutritional products as well as quality infant formulas made with New Zealand milk. We take advantage of our debut presence at the Hong Kong fair to launch our new goat milk infant formula brand BabySteps. The exhibition has been really successful. We have made a lot of contacts and further communication will be conducted with them to establish business relationship. I am positive that orders will be finalised in three to six months’ time. We have been very busy and the experience has been very rewarding. The fair has been well organised with excellent organisation. We will come again next year.” Brett Taylor, Business Development Manager, New Image Group, New Zealand

“ACN Tech operates a baby specialty online shop and three physical retail stores in Kuala Lumpur. This is the second time we visited the fair to source baby products. The journey has been rewarding. We have already found three new suppliers including two from Taiwan and one from the Chinese mainland for a variety of items such as baby care products, baby walkers and car seats. Their products are good in both quality and design. We have earmarked a budget of US$100,000 for the fair. We expect to conclude the orders after inspection of the suppliers’ factory facilities. The fair has been professionally run and we really enjoyed the nice exhibition atmosphere.” Andrew Ong, Director, ACN Tech Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia

“Founded in 2000, Jiwildy is an importer, wholesaler and distributor of baby products. We also operate three retail stores and sell our products to hypermarkets. We are visiting the Hong Kong Baby Products Fair for the first time to enrich our sourcing. So far, we have identified 15 exhibitors mainly coming from the Chinese mainland. It is our intention to finalise business development with seven of them including two companies from Korea and France for the supply of various products such as baby textiles, baby walkers, bathtubs and toys. We reckon the amount of orders will be up to US$225,000 in total. This is a very international fair offering a great selection of quality and trendy products. We are impressed with the exhibition’s organisation and superior service. We will definitely visit the fair again.” Jim Ah-Kee, Director, Jiwildy Ltd, Mauritius
