“It is great to find so many creative products at the awards competition. I am impressed that participating companies are working strenuously to keep their toys and baby products more practical and down-to-earth instead of pursuing fancy design.“
Rainer Sip, Operations Director, Baby-Kingdom.Com Limited
“We have seen a wide range of toys and baby products submitted by participating companies catering to different needs of customers. I am happy to see companies pro-actively incorporate new and innovative ideas to enhance their products’ overall appeal.”
Tam Yue Man, President, The Toys Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong
“I am deeply impressed with the success of the awards competition. It attracted a large number of entries and the quality of participating toys and baby products is exceptional. Hong Kong companies have strong design capabilities and among the entries, some of the products really show innovation and come in a nice mix of materials. ”

“Established in Japan in 1960, Artec specialises in three major product lines including construction blocks, science toys and robotic toys. Japan has been our largest market. To develop our export business, we started to exhibit at the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair three years ago. With the business contacts we made at the Hong Kong fair, we export our products to Europe and the US. At this year’s fair, we have a bigger booth and also showcase our new products at the Therapy Toys Display Area, attracting a lot of interest from buyers. Just in the morning on the first day of the fair, we have met with more than 40 buyers from Asia, Europe and the US. We expect that we’ll have very good business at this fair.” M. Matsumoto, Sales Representative, Artec Co., Ltd, Japan

“This is the first time that Indonesia has set up a group pavilion at the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair. We are happy to have our presence here because the Hong Kong fair is the largest fair of its kind in Asia. We have brought together 12 toy manufacturers from different parts of Indonesia to promote their toys, baby products and sporting goods. At this fair, Indonesian exhibitors are keen to look for overseas buyers and also to learn more about the latest technology and design trends from international exhibitors. The Hong Kong fair provides a good platform for exhibitors and buyers to learn from each other.”
Dyah W. Poedjiwati, Special Assistant to The Minister for Technology and Industry Resources, Indonesia

“Begemot has 88 outlets in Russia selling baby toys and games and owns nine private labels. It is my first-time visit to the Hong Kong fair. I am particularly looking for baby toys and plush toys. Thanks to the excellent business matching services provided by the HKTDC, I have successfully found two potential suppliers who have met all my requirements. I am waiting for them to send me the quotations and samples. I have been to European toys fairs for many times, but I think that the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair is an impressive show where you can find a lot of international suppliers. I am happy to meet with most of my existing suppliers at this fair.” Evstratova Xenia, Project Manager, Begemot, Russia

“Babyloop is an online shopping portal specialising in the sale of baby products. We started our business last year and are sourcing worldwide to expand our offerings. I am visiting the Hong Kong Baby Products Fair for the first time. This is a really good exhibition with a wide range of products in different styles and different colours. Exhibitors are showing flexibility in the quantity of orders to foster business cooperation. I will definitely place orders with three new suppliers from Taiwan, the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. The first order was already made. I expect to place US$80,000 to US$100,000 worth of on-site orders for a variety of products such as baby bibs, diaper bags and sleeping bags. I target to find a total of 20 suppliers and finalise a further US$250,000 of business after the fair.” Sebastian Wetzel, CFO, Babyloop, Germany

“Dinky Dragon is an importer and distributor of baby products in the UK. We put strong emphasis on the quality of our products. This is the first time I visit the Hong Kong fair. So far, I have got in touch with three exhibitors from Korea for the supply of playmats and baby carriers. Their qualities are very good. We are going to get quotations and samples from them before concluding deals. The fair is good and big in scale with many choices. I will come again next year and recommend this fair to other industry players.”
Delphine O’Connor, Co-founder, Dinky Dragon, UK
